Using various forms of Pollution constructively for development हिंदी
Pollution has become a way of life for us. The effects of Pollution are visible on all life forms on earth, including the environment. Space debris pollution has even affected celestial bodies. “Development” has led to all forms of contaminating waste, that has converted this peaceful Heaven called Earth into a dreadful Hell.
Pollution is often confused as waste. While waste can be recycled, and can also become raw material for other products, pollutants are generally disposed away, in land, water and air. Wikipedia defines Pollution as: 'Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment, that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies, or naturally occurring contaminants'. It was the industrial revolution, that gave birth to environmental pollution, as we know it today. The emergence of great factories and consumption of immense quantities of coal and other fossil fuels, gave rise to unprecedented air pollution, and the large volume of industrial chemical discharges, added to the growing load of untreated human waste. Major forms of pollution and their relevant contaminants are:
With air becoming unbreathable, water non-drinkable, climates non-adaptable, we are rapidly moving towards extinction. Despite numerable laws and acts by different countries, pollution control methods, activism by people, and widespread awareness creation, pollution has increased globally. Now, that we know we cannot reverse it, can we think of ways and means of using Pollution and pollutants constructively and for development? Think.......! Apply your basic concepts, knowledge of different technologies, to create Technological Solutions that use pollutants or convert them into usable forms. No problems, if they are costly enough, they will still be cheaper than life. Apply common sense and basic business skills, to create Business models, that can help the affected people earn a livelihood out of the pollutants. Everything is possible, if we start thinking differently. Polish your debating skills, and your art forms too for 2 days of masti and fun. Let the creativity in you flow, by participating in all the events. The best ones will be presented at the event, recognized and awarded too. Hope to see you in PEHAL-2014. |
